A Nursery in Dulwich is looking for a Room Leader to join their team in the Baby Room.
The Manager is looking for someone who is confident, warm, caring, kind, and passionate about childcare. This is a full-time permanent position, and you will be required to work 40 hours per week either 4 or 5 days a week. Please only apply if you can commit to the following:
- Monday to Friday 7:15 am - 4:15 pm & 9:15 am - 6:15 pm shifts
- 4 days a week working 7:15 am - 6:15 pm
If you meet the following requirements, then please apply today:
- Minimum Level 3 Qualified in Childcare
- Experience working with Early Years
- Experience of leading/supervising
- At least 2 years working in a Nursery
- Up to date DBS (If not, must be willing to complete one)
- Understanding of Ofsted requirements, safeguarding & EYFS
- Excellent communication skills both written & spoken
You will be required to carry out the following duties:
- Working in a team supporting & leading the team
- Follow Nursery's policies and procedures
- Sharing innovative new ideas
- Ensuring the children's needs are met as well as keeping them safe at all times
- Carry out observations and planning on key children
- Communicate with children, staff, and parents on a daily basis
- To ensure responsibility for the effective daily running of the rooms
- To have a sound knowledge of company policies, procedures, and expectations
- To act as an excellent role model to the staff team, showcasing high-quality practice in all areas
- To take responsibility for excellent hygiene, health and safety, and security practice within the nursery
- To work cooperatively with the managers, deputy, and other room leaders
- To work with outside professionals where required
- To work closely with parents and create trusting relationships with all families
