We welcome qualified or soon to be qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologists to apply for this post. We offer regular supervision and CPD events and training. You will have opportunities to regularly connect with psychologists working in this locality of our Trust.
It is desirable to have experience of working in a community mental health team or secondary care services. Access to a car is also important as this is a community-based role.
In our Community Mental Health Recovery Service (CMHRS) we see adults with complex, severe, and enduring mental health problems. The principles and philosophy of care are based on the recovery model. We offer NICE evidenced based interventions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of highly specialist psychology services for this client group, including assessment and delivery of group or individual psychological therapies. They will be working closely with other psychologists in the team and with multi-disciplinary team members such as Mental Health Practitioners, Community Psychiatric Nurses and Psychiatrists. They will also be interfacing with other teams, such as the Home Treatment Teams and Inpatient services. They will be actively involved in assessment and delivery of evidence based psychological interventions.
