B2B Sales Executive (Events)

Higher Success Ltd
London
GBP 60,000 - 80,000
Job description

This well-reputed company is a long-standing business based in the Blackfriars, Waterloo, Southwark area. They are a mid-sized specialist recruitment business focusing on international hires into mainly Europe and North America. They have early stage funded clients up to stock market listed clients, and you would have access to partner top scale brands, collaborating across the business and traveling to meet clients internationally. The organization also owns an events business. All directors and managers have been promoted from within, and there is a strong focus on organic stable growth as well as strong client partnerships with communities, face-to-face events, and working closely with the events and marketing teams.

The Role

The organization runs around 8-10 events a year aimed at their target audience - CTOs and HRDs. The recruiters gain huge benefits from having the opportunity to sell to clients directly face-to-face and use this as a great networking tool. The events business was set up to aid this endeavor. They have, however, also started to sell to other companies (partners) who would want to make use of the same network to sell to the same target audience. They are making about 200k a year doing this on the side and would like to formalize this into a role. You would pick up existing business and acquire new clients.

The role will involve:

  • Working closely with the events and marketing team to understand the upcoming schedule of events.
  • Creating a feedback loop between your clients and marketing/events to ensure the events will be of interest to your clients.
  • Marketing and events will create events of use to the recruitment functions, and you will then work out which other companies in the market would make use of the same client base.

The B2B Executive will do initial outreach to potential clients about the sponsorship options available. Packages will range from 5k to 50k and upwards. Clients can sign up for one or more events, and occasionally, if there is a business case, you could create events that would suit potential clients to aid your sales. They are only likely to go ahead if the same target audience could be of use to the recruiters in the business, so you will need to be excellent at stakeholder management to ensure all sides are satisfied.

The successful Sales Executive will manage existing clients, continue their sponsorship contracts, ensure they are happy with the service, consult them on the details of the events, the attendees, and make sure they have a good experience when they attend.

The Event Sales Executive will be attending these events, which are most likely in Europe. You will have your travel paid for, etc.

You will work with the business to ensure that the events are well attended, helping if needed to provide outreach to possible attendees as well as sponsors.

You will receive an account commission for existing business and a new business commission for any new sponsors you enroll.

The Package

Basic salary depending on experience. A commission scheme will be designed with the individual in mind as part of the hiring process. 4 days in the office per week, 1 from home.

The Benefits

  • Work from anywhere scheme allowing you to extend any holidays abroad while working internationally for some of the year (12 days).
  • Christmas shutdown giving 4 more days off a year, a day off for your birthday, 2 days off for volunteering each year.
  • Very enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
  • Strong family policy with dependent working hours, flexible working, and support for stillbirth and miscarriage. Very family-friendly company!
  • Gym allowance and dental.
  • Onsite gym and onsite showers.
  • Many internal committees for environmental and diversity programs.
  • Pool table, table tennis, darts, board games, chill-out areas, and books.
  • Business smart/smart depending on client meetings.
  • Quarterly lunch/dinner club.
  • Team incentives, company-wide events, and company-wide team building.
  • Company all-inclusive holidays and days out with directors.
  • Quarterly sales meetings/parties.
  • Highly diverse, multi-cultural sales floor.
  • Early Friday finishes.

The Requirements

  • Experience in B2B sales involving a lot of initial outreach.
  • Gravitas to work with senior HR and Tech professionals at CEO minus 1 level.
  • You will likely have around 2 years or more of B2B sales experience.
  • You must be willing to attend events internationally.
  • You must be already living in the UK, with travel access to the office within a reasonable commute.
  • You must be happy to work in the office 4 days a week.
  • You must have experience using LinkedIn as a sales tool.
  • You will need to be excellent at managing multiple stakeholders.

You need to be happy working as an individual contributor, working directly with the owners of the company. You will be in a high-profile role with a strong light shone on you; however, you will not be building a team. This is a standalone role for now. There will be other routes to develop internally, and this can be discussed at the interview.
