Job Description

This position is with the producer of one of the most successful civil aircraft ever manufactured in the UK and is now the UK's only independent civil aircraft manufacturer. They are also a leading aerospace SME, offering a market-leading range of aviation-related services internationally.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team. Due to ongoing growth, they are now recruiting for an Aircraft Maintenance Team Leader (B2) to join them at our Lee-on-the-Solent site.

The Aircraft Maintenance Team Leader (B2) will support the Management Team in ensuring that activities are completed to the required standards in accordance with the Company procedures and Regulatory airworthiness, design and quality requirements to meet the agreed company/customer requirements and programme plan.

Primary Tasks

1. Supervision of up to 6 Technicians and 2 Apprentices.
2. Certify modification and maintenance work within their company authorisation.
3. Carry out aircraft maintenance, inspection and repair of mechanical systems and structures either at home base or deployed, in accordance with approved data.
4. Carry out the embodiment of aircraft mechanical modifications in accordance with approved data.
5. Carry out fault finding of defects, rectifying defects as found in accordance with Aircraft Maintenance Manual and other approved data.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

1. CAA Part-66 B2 Maintenance License.
2. CAA Part-147 BN2T or BN2B type course (within 6 months of start date).
3. Aircraft engineering apprenticeship or equivalent.

Required Experience

1. Working in a similar role on light utility, unpressurised aircraft.
2. Fault identification, isolation, and rectification of avionics systems.
3. Base Maintenance preferably with modification experience.
4. Working on light turbo-prop fixed wing aircraft.
