Background

The Clinical Biostatistics and Data Management group is responsible for delivering leadership and expertise in the use of Statistics and Data Management across both the Beauty & Wellbeing and the Personal Care Clinical Programs. The group delivers via a highly skilled team that is aligned to specific program areas within BW and PC and works in close partnership with Clinical researchers as well as Science & Technology (S&T), and Design teams at a global level.

Job Purpose

Data utilisation is the undisputed future approach for Unilever R&D and this is a unique opportunity to make a critical contribution to that journey. As part of the Clinicals Data Management agenda, the successful candidate will play a supporting role in the multi-functional team responsible for developing new solutions to facilitate the re-use, democratisation, and visualisation of clinical data.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other team members to implement and support defined clinical data workflows. They will be part of a wider multi-disciplinary team developing and maintaining appropriate digital tools to support these digital clinical data workflows.

All About You

Experiences and Skills required:

  • Hands-on technical expertise in data management and visualisation. Microsoft Power BI user preferred.
  • Strong coding skills in R (or Python) with exposure to R Shiny (or Python Dash) preferred.
  • Experience of using CDISC in the specification and structured storage of Clinical datasets desirable.
  • Experience/knowledge of working with large datasets and databases.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills, excellent negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in global teams across time-zones and cultures.
  • Ability to translate technical IT 'jargon' into user-friendly processes and language for non-experts.
