Job description

Tasks and Responsibilities

Engineering:

1. Ingestion configuration
2. Write python/pyspark and spark SQL code for validation/curation in notebook
3. Create data integration test cases
4. Implement or amend worker pipelines
5. Implement Data validation/curation rules
6. Convert data model data mapping to technical data mapping
7. Implement Integrations
8. Data migration implementation and execution
9. Data analysis (profiling etc)
10. Azure devops/github configurations for ADF and databricks code

Our ideal candidate:

1. Strong experience in designing and delivering Azure-based data platform solutions, technologies including:
2. Azure ADF and Databricks, Azure Functions, App Service, Logic App, AKS, Azure App Service, Web App
3. Good knowledge in real-time streaming applications preferably with experience in Kafka real-time messaging or Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus.
4. Spark processing and performance tuning
5. File formats partitioning for e.g. Parquet, JSON, XML, CSV
6. Azure DevOps/GitHub
7. Hands-on experience in at least one of Python with knowledge of the others
8. Experience of synchronous and asynchronous interface approaches
9. Knowledge in data modeling (3NF/Dimensional modeling/Data Vault2)
10. Work experience in agile delivery
11. Able to provide comprehensive documentation
12. Able to set and manage realistic expectations for timescales, costs, benefits, and measures for success

Nice to Have:

1. Experience with integration and implementation of data cataloging tools like Azure Purview/Collabra
2. Experience in implementing and integrating visualization tools like Power BI/Tableau etc.
3. Experience in C# application development (ASP.NET MVP)
