Job description

Drewlo Holdings is a family owned and operated company that has been in business for over 65 years. Since 1958 we have been constructing and operating rental apartment towers across Southwestern Ontario and providing homes to thousands of Canadians. We are a London-based construction company seeking a qualified transport truck driver to move our own material and equipment on day runs between jobsites within Southwestern Ontario & the GTA, using various styles of trucks and trailers.

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario A-Z license with current medical
• Knowledge of commercial trucking and highway traffic regulations
• Ability to load and unload construction equipment such as excavators, rock trucks, and smaller machines, unassisted
• Able to use forklift, telehandler, or excavator to load or unload materials

Responsibilities:

• Local haul for construction division, moving materials from site to site around Southwestern Ontario and the GTA.
• Operating highway tractor with various trailers, straight trucks, and dump trucks.
• Duties include loading and unloading various types of materials using forklifts and excavators.
• Focus on safety and abide by all Company policies and procedures.
• Safety conscious on the road and on construction sites.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work alone or with others to get the job done.
• Experience operating dump trucks is an asset.
