Aviation Technical Training Instructor. Job in London Education & Training Jobs

Europe's leading Aviation Training provider is seeking to hire those who wish to teach the engineers of Europe's premier maintenance organisations and the technical workforce of tomorrow.

The role may specialise in mechanical, avionic, composite specialties and more with opportunities to teach in the workshop, classroom, and the hangar environment. Training is delivered to Apprentices undergoing initial basic training and more experienced industry professionals looking to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Locations are our London based Airports main base or client's sites as required. Main base and field-based roles are available.

Technical Instructor Responsibilities

1. The theoretical and practical delivery of EASA and UK CAA, Part 66 training courses from fundamental subjects to a wide range of aircraft related modules.
2. The theoretical and practical instruction of specialised aviation technical skills and other industry related courses.
3. Examiner and Invigilator duties as required.
4. Assisting in maintenance and updating of approved training resources.

Terms and Conditions:

Full time permanent

Salary £47,000 - £54,000 per annum based on qualifications and experience.

The higher end of the pay scale applies to those holding all EASA or UKCAA, Cat B Part 66 modules or an appropriate technical/academic degree. Further salary uplifts are available for field-based positions and dual qualification as a Technical Instructor and Apprenticeship Assessor.

25 days paid annual leave plus public holidays, company pension and cycle to work scheme.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Technical instructing or teaching qualification.
2. Note: Persons not holding a technical instructing or teaching qualification can apply and will be assessed for potential with technical instruction training provided for successful candidates.
3. An appropriate qualification in aviation maintenance.
4. Minimum 5 years industry experience.
5. A good working knowledge of MS Office.
6. Clean driving licence.
7. Must be able to satisfy an enhanced DBS check.
