Expleo are currently recruiting an experienced Test Technician within Connected Car & Navigation, to join a leading Automotive Research and Development Team. Based close to Milton Keynes / Bedford, you will be working within a dedicated team of development technicians and engineers on an ongoing contract basis.

This is not your every day workshop environment and you will be a key player in the test and development of future vehicles. You will be involved in the preparation, building and maintenance of vehicles or components for test, instrumentation set-up, supporting testing in static and dynamic conditions, gathering accurate test data you will also evaluate and identify concerns on completion of tests.

Background, skills and experience:
  1. Educated to City & Guilds / IMI / NVQ Level 3 or higher - ideally within Electrical, Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
  2. Automotive electrical and / or electronic test experience relating to HMI, navigation / infotainment or mobile phone applications
  3. Equivalent experience on a major testing program, e.g. aerospace, telecoms or similar can be considered
  4. Vehicle system knowledge with the ability to fault find
  5. Understanding of component measurement techniques
  6. Test / Diagnostic experience
  7. Data analysis and report writing skills
  8. A good understanding of vehicle diagnostic tools
  9. A keen interest in the latest smartphones and applications
  10. Proficient in Microsoft office, including Powerpoint and Excel, for producing graphs and presenting findings
