Job Summary:

The Service Adviser reports directly to the Service Director, with additional responsibilities to work with service and warranty managers. This role is vital to the success of this bustling, nationally-acclaimed and award-winning automotive dealership in Northern New Jersey, working with Ford and Lincoln vehicles, and Ford Trucks.

The successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to multi-task by handling and processing documents while serving a variety of customers, all within a team-oriented environment.

Job Accountabilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Serve as liaison between customers and technicians.
  • Clearly communicate all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer.
  • Determine and recommend needed maintenance based on age, mileage, and history of vehicle.
  • Provide a complete and accurate estimate of costs for labor and parts.
  • Monitor the progress of each vehicle and communicate with customers by providing updates and status throughout the day.
  • Process repair orders.
  • Review all completed work and charges to customers.
  • Follow-up with customers post-service when customers have questions and/or concerns.

Requirements:

  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, and eager to contribute.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization and follow-up skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Google Docs.
  • Spanish speaking a plus.
  • Demonstrate an understanding that business is built on excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Self-motivated to fulfill tasks.
