Company Description

Segula Technologies has an opportunity for an ambitious Manufacturing Engineer to join the PTME Battery assembly team. This team supports pioneering electrification developments for a high profile range of electric vehicles. You will be at the forefront of implementing new manufacturing technologies for electric propulsion systems. Working with suppliers and multiple customers and departments you will be a strong communicator who is results-driven and customer-focused.

This offers a large potential for personal growth within a consultancy who works with multiple customers and sectors. In addition, there is the exciting opportunity of periodic European & Overseas travel to work alongside technology leading suppliers.

Job Description

  1. You will utilise your knowledge to develop and implement assembly and in-process test processes and facilities to deliver the safety, quality delivery and cost objectives.
  2. Detailed planning, development and implementation of installation timing plans with key suppliers.
  3. Ensure robust process planning including build simulations and PFMEA's.
  4. Assembly process & equipment verification at suppliers and at manufacturing facility.
  5. Manage technical issues and escalate where appropriate.
  6. Achieve equipment capability and availability targets.
  7. Support the resolution of technical issues where appropriate.
  8. Planning, developing and implementation of all written Processes for manufacturing and all tooling, jigs and fixtures for manufacturing.

Qualifications

  1. Previous experience of Manufacturing / Engineering processes, tools and techniques with a hands-on approach to engineering.
  2. Experience of facility installation, project management, capability validation, commissioning and product launch.
  3. Ability to work within cross-functional teams and flexibility to support projects from early concepts to launch.
  4. Ability to use CAD packages to review engineering drawings and models (Catia V6 & Teamcentre etc).
  5. Understanding of safe automated and manual manufacturing systems.
  6. Ability to problem solve technical and manufacturing issues.

  1. Fixed Term Contract - 12 Months
  2. Salary/rate will depend on experience
