Role Description

We're looking for a skilled and experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our used car dealership. The ideal candidate will be experienced with various mechanical work, capable of working with a team, making quick decisions, and excited about helping us keep our vehicles running smoothly for many years to come. A proven track record of working in a demanding environment is essential. The candidate will be able to carry out their own repair diagnostics, service vehicles, repair MOT advisories, clutches & gearboxes, perform timing chain replacements, and undertake engine repairs and replacements, suspension work, and much more.

Qualifications

1. Experience in mechanical repairs
2. Ability to carry out repair diagnostics
3. Experience in repairing clutches and gearboxes
4. Experience in engine repairs, including timing chain replacement, head gasket replacement, and engine rebuilding
5. Experience in repairing MOT failure and advisory components
6. Ability to carry out health checks and servicing of cars
7. Ability to work under pressure at a high rate of speed
8. Passion for cars
9. Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints and diagrams
10. Ability to work as part of a team
11. Basic English comprehension
12. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
13. Understanding of safety practices
