Job Description:

Expleo are recruiting on behalf of our client, a successful Automotive OEM, for an Automotive Instrument Cluster Engineer. The role is based in Bedfordshire and is offered on an annual contract basis.

The successful Instrument Cluster Engineer will be working within the Research and Development team responsible for the Instrument Cluster, Head-Up Displays, and Displays development.

Responsibilities:

1. Development of Instrument Cluster, Head-Up Displays, and Displays
2. Prepare functional specifications
3. Review and approve part drawings
4. Resolve technical issues with test departments and suppliers
5. Conduct vehicle life cycle cost reduction idea generation and implement
6. Lead vehicle life cycle warranty investigations
7. Prepare and present development status and strategy plans to Senior Management

Background Required:

1. Ideally Degree educated in a relevant subject matter
2. Experienced in the development of Instrument Cluster, Head-Up Displays, or Displays within the automotive industry
3. Familiar with electrical theory related to parts and connected circuits
4. An understanding in software development and validation method
5. Experience of electrical architecture
6. Knowledge of LIN or CAN tools
