Tandem is recruiting for a FULL-TIME POSITION as a ROBOT TECHNICIAN SPECIALIST with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to support our clients’ projects in our WINDSOR, ON LOCATION.

This position is worked offsite on the location of the client.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Robotics, Automation, or equivalent, and/or with 5 years robotic experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in robot programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance in manufacturing or industrial automation.
• Hands-on experience with ABB and FANUC robots preferred.
• Strong knowledge of robot programming, calibration, troubleshooting, and motion control.
• Proficiency in electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, including PLC integration and sensor feedback.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve robotic system errors and faults efficiently.
• Experience with computer systems, networking, and industrial communication protocols.
• Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to document system modifications, repairs, and troubleshooting processes.
• Familiarity with industry safety standards and compliance regulations.
• Must be able to work under pressure with tight deadlines, multiple priorities, and fluctuating and conflicting schedules.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have superior time management skills and the ability to multi-task with multiple projects.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The ROBOT TECHNICIAN SPECIALIST is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

• Install, service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair robots and automated production systems.
• Program, operate, and optimize ABB and FANUC robots for efficient production processes.
• Diagnose and resolve robotic system issues related to electrical, electronic, and mechanical components.
• Work with computer systems, sensors, and feedback mechanisms to ensure optimal robot performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades to minimize downtime.
• Ensure robotic systems comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Document robotic system modifications, repairs, and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance automation efficiency.
• Continuously improve robotic processes to increase productivity and system reliability.

Salary: $40-$55 CDN / HOURLY
