Vehicle Development Engineer High-Performance Automotive

Fixed-Term Contract 12 months

ASL Technical is proud to be working with a prestigious Vehicle Manufacturer at the cutting edge of high-performance road car development. We are looking for a Vehicle Development Engineer to join their world-class Test & Development team on a 12 month contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of vehicle attribute development, working hands-on with prototype and development vehicles in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

The Role:

As a Vehicle Development Engineer, you will:

• Lead vehicle preparation, specification, and test execution for critical development activities.
• Work closely with prototype build teams to ensure vehicles meet stringent testing requirements.
• Plan and coordinate short-term test programs, managing resources and spares to execute activities effectively.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support vehicle attribute sign-off and report findings at the program level.
• Travel to off-site test facilities and work flexible hours to meet project demands.

What We re Looking For:

• Engineering Expertise: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, or Automotive Engineering (2:1 or above).
• Industry Experience: Background in automotive test & development, ideally within low-volume, high-performance vehicle programs.
• Proactive Mindset: Ability to take ownership, work independently, and thrive under pressure.
• Passion for Performance: A strong technical acumen combined with a genuine enthusiasm for high-performance vehicles.
