Our client is based in Laindon, Essex in a purpose-built design, engineering and headquarters building with 70 employees at this site.
Most of their business is the design and assembly of filling and packaging lines for aerosols with a high proportion for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
The basic equipment is made by their principals in Switzerland. Our client incorporates this and other machines into the lines, linking them with our own conveyors, enclosures, electrical control systems and ancillary equipment.
All panel building, wiring and PLC programming is done on-site and other departments specialise in machine assembly, commissioning, and documentation.
We are looking to appoint an Automation Technician to work in their Electrical and Automation Department.
The role is very varied and requires a good understanding of electrical drawings, control panel specification/design, PLC programming, touchscreens, and controls along with an understanding of vision and SCADA systems. Experience of the pharma industry and/or explosive atmosphere regulations is desirable.
