Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading food manufacturing company in their search for an Automation Engineer to work in their leading facility in Market Drayton.
For the successful Automation Engineer, our client is offering:
- Up to £60,000 per annum DOE
- 4 on 4 off Day shift
- Permanent position
- Benefits package including life assurance and health care cover
- Overtime available at x1.5 rate
The Role - Automation Engineer:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and robotic equipment.
- Develop and implement automation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Work alongside production teams to identify areas for automation and process improvement.
- Program, test, and commission new automation systems and modifications.
- Support the maintenance team in diagnosing and repairing automation-related issues.
What our client is looking for in an Automation Engineer:
- Degree/HND in Electrical Engineering, Automation or related field
- Recognised Engineering apprenticeship - ESSENTIAL
- Experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment is - HIGHLY DESIRABLE
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, ideally Siemens - ESSENTIAL
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of health & safety and food industry regulations.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
