Automation Design Engineer

Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a Ruabon-based manufacturing company in their search for Automation Design Engineer.

For the successful Automation Design Engineer, our client is offering:

• £34,000 to £36,000 per annum (DOE)
• Day positions - Monday to Thursday 8.00 am to 5.15 pm - Friday 4.15 pm
• Permanent role with a progressive company
• Every second Friday non-working
• Development opportunities within the company

The role - Automation Design Engineer:

• Design of Automated Machines / Equipment from First Principles to Full Design
• Develop detailed designs using CAD software.
• Conduct research and analysis to ensure design feasibility and optimization.
• Lead Design reviews
• Lead Machine Risk Assessment Review
• Prepare and present project information and costs at Stage gate 1 to 3
• Prepare project costings including BOM
• Provide support for modifications / design changes found at Build / Commissioning stages of the project
• Support Existing Equipment both in BIUK and other companies

What our client is looking for in an Automation Design Engineer:

• A Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or similar - ESSENTIAL
• Experience in equipment design/development - ESSENTIAL
• Strong Knowledge of using 3D CAD - ESSENTIAL
• Knowledge of Industrial automation and manufacturing processes.
