Autocad Draughtsman

Echelon Engineers are recruiting on behalf of a leading process plant equipment manufacturer who are looking for an experienced AutoCAD Draughtsman with strong P&ID experience to support ongoing project work on a contract basis.

The Role:

You will be working closely with the engineering and project teams to produce detailed 2D drawings and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for bespoke industrial systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in delivering high-quality drawings within manufacturing or engineering settings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Producing 2D technical drawings and P&IDs using AutoCAD.
2. Liaising with engineers to interpret specifications and requirements.
3. Ensuring all drawings are accurate and comply with relevant standards.
4. Making updates and revisions to existing documentation as needed.

Requirements:

1. Proficient in AutoCAD (2D).
2. Strong P&ID drafting experience.
3. Background in process engineering, manufacturing, or similar industrial environments.
4. Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.

Desirable:

1. Knowledge of process plant equipment and mechanical layouts.
2. Experience working in a project-based engineering team.
