Audits & Account Manager (3 x opportunities)

Excellent opportunity for an experienced ACCA or ACA Accounts & Audit Manager to join a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in the Wigan area. As one of several Accounts & Audit Managers you will head a friendly and collaborative audit team, reporting to the head of finance, with a remit including:

  • Managing a variety of audits from planning to completion.
  • Supervising junior members of the audit team.
  • Organising client meetings.
  • Planning and work schedules to optimise yearends, interims, stocktakes, IR forms, statutory deadlines.
  • Organising and leading Team Meetings.
  • Managing and overseeing client books in/out.
  • Audit files and reviews.
  • Accounts preparation work on complex clients.
  • Prepare statutory accounts under FRS 101, FRS 102 and SORP 102.
  • Corporate and personal tax compliance work and where appropriate, tax planning.
  • Liaise with clients ensuring a timely delivery of services and manage the relationship in a professional manner.
  • Handling any client queries.
  • External letters to clients, HMRC or statutory bodies.

Applicants will ideally be ACCA or ACA Qualified, although "QBE" Qualified by Experience will also be considered. You will have the gravitas, personality, and communication skills to forge strong business relationships internally and with clients. Xero and Sage knowledge would be very beneficial. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business and a friendly and collaborative team. Due to rapid expansion, there are 3 opportunities at this level. Salary £45-60k depending on experience. This role is fully office-based, 37.5 hours per week, with flexitime around core hours.
