Auditor & Charity Accounts Senior

TPF Recruitment is proud to support an independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Brighton in their search for an Auditor & Charity Accounts Senior. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded firm that offers a supportive and flexible working environment.

The Role:

As an Auditor & Charity Accounts Senior, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit and accounting services to a portfolio of clients, with a particular focus on charity and not-for-profit organisations. This is a non-management position, ideal for an experienced professional who enjoys hands-on client work without direct managerial responsibilities.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Leading audit assignments from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
2. Preparing charity accounts and financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and the Charities SORP.
3. Reviewing and preparing working papers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
4. Liaising directly with clients to provide expert advice and support on financial and compliance matters.
5. Collaborating with colleagues and senior management to ensure the smooth delivery of audit and accounting services.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A background in audit and/or charity accounting, ideally within an accountancy practice.
2. Part-qualified, fully qualified (ACA/ACCA), or qualified by experience.
3. Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and charity accounting regulations.
4. Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
5. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
