As Assembly / Audit Support Technician you will operate as part of the production team responsible for the assembly of parts or components to produce Building Construction Product (BCP) machines, according to specifications and support as we seek to maintain and improve the quality of machines leaving the Desford facility. You will have the ability to conduct audits on parts and partially or fully built machines to a takt time following inspection standard work.
As a Line Runner, you work on several stations covering planned/unplanned absences and utilise lean manufacturing tools and techniques while operating to defined and production goals.
What You Will Do:
As Assembly / Audit Support Technician, your accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:
- To train and be fully flexible on all the processes within the team
- Collaborate with Team Leads and Section managers in Continuous Improvement activities
- Step up and cover Team Lead in their absence
- To train new starters, apprentices and upskill others
- Drive best practices using Lean tools such as 5S and Total Productive Maintenance
- Conduct audits on parts, partially or fully built machines to a takt time following inspection standard work.
- Record defect information in detail via electronic, manual processes or visual boards.
- Clearly communicate defects to other areas and support area personnel as issues arise.
- Participate in defect investigations and components inspection and Projects as required.
- Investigate, analyse and identify the Root Cause and operate the NCM process.
- Conduct Basic visual and dimensional inspection as part of investigations.
- Adhere to all local processes and CQMS procedures.
- Adhere to Companies Values in Action, Integrity, Commitment, Excellence, Teamwork, Sustainability and Health and Safety policy initiatives and safe working practices

- Gain working knowledge of the area and build experience of the workstations within which you will be working
- The ability to use hand/power tools and lifting equipment
- The ability to read, comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions/procedures
- Attention to detail, able to work with own initiative and self-motivated
- You will possess effective communication skills to liaise with various levels of the organization
- Willing to undertake required training/learning
- Must be willing to work a multi-shift pattern
What you may have:- Experience of the Built In Quality process, reporting defects and root cause analysis.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal to be confident to squash behaviours not in line with our company values.
- 6 Sigma / Project management

Job Title: Assembly/Audit Support Technician (Line Runner)
Salary: starting salary £27,800 progressing through to end on once role triggers are met £29,200
