We are pleased to be working with a St Albans based practice who are looking for an Audit Senior to join their team. This role offers a unique opportunity to be involved in full end-to-end audits across a variety of industries, while also gaining exposure to wider business advisory work.
Day-to-day of the role:
Plan, supervise, and execute comprehensive audits, ensuring objectives are met within budgets and deadlines.
Oversee the audit team on-site, review junior staff's work, and provide coaching for their development.
Draft management recommendations post-audit fieldwork and prepare agendas for close-out meetings.
Prepare tax computations and Corporation Tax returns (CT600) with support from the tax specialist team.
Liaise with clients and stakeholders, often interacting directly with Partners and Directors.
Motivate the team, promoting the firm's interests with employees, clients, and third parties.
Assist with internal training courses and supervise junior team members alongside office management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent international chartered accounting qualification
Proven experience leading audit teams, including group audits
Completed at least 3 audits in the past year with a turnover of £20m+
Strong grasp of UK GAAP and auditing standards
Skilled in both substantive and controls-based audits
Excellent communication skills for client engagement and team motivation
Strong organisational skills, able to multitask and prioritise effectively
Personable and confident, capable of building strong client relationships
