Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Audit Senior to join a well-established accountancy firm.

This role offers excellent benefits and a salary range of £28,000 - £35,000.

As an Audit Senior, you will be responsible for preparing accounts, audit working files, and draft financial statements.

You will be responsible for:

1. Conduct audit procedures in line with agreed standards and guidelines.
2. Work within the allocated budget set during the planning phase.
3. Prepare draft tax computations, including provisions for company accounts.
4. Perform internal control assessments, system evaluations, and walkthrough tests.
5. Participate in stock takes to verify inventory accuracy.
6. Conduct audit tests for statutory and non-statutory audits.
7. Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior team members.

What we are looking for:

1. Previous experience working as an Audit Senior, Audit Supervisor, Audit Semi Senior, Audit & Accounts Senior, Accountant or in a similar role in accounting firm.
2. ACA / ACCA qualified or working towards it.
3. Background in using cloud-based accountancy software.
4. Understanding of Iris and Xero.
5. Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word.
