Audit Semi-Senior (Part Qualified), Guildford – Up to £40k dependent on experience

We’re looking for an Audit Semi-Senior to join a brilliant accountancy team in Guildford to work across a variety of business sectors. This practice fosters a culture built on mutual respect, where every voice is valued and every perspective matters.

This role is approximately split between 85% audit and 15% financial accounting.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in planning and executing audit and assurance engagements across various industries.
2. Prepare financial statements, reports, and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
3. Assist in performing risk assessments and testing internal controls for clients.
4. Liaise with clients to resolve audit queries and present findings.
5. Supervise and mentor junior audit staff, providing guidance and feedback.
6. Delegate routine work to juniors either on site or in the office, and review that work when completed.
7. Stay updated on changes in accounting and audit standards.
8. Successfully continue path towards chosen qualification.

Requirements:

1. AAT qualification or a number of module passes within the ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification.
2. Greater than a year’s experience of working effectively within an audit team.
3. Experience of working towards a leading role within a team.
4. Strong IT skills including good knowledge of Excel and preferably experience of Caseware Cloud and CCH Accounts Production.
