Qualifications

Job description

Salary - Competitive dependent on experience

Hours - Monday to Friday 9am - 5:15pm with an hour lunch break - 36.25 hours per week

Holiday - 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days)

About the Audit Manager / Assistant Manager role

Due to growth we have an exciting opportunity for an Auditor to join our team in our Christchurch office.

We welcome applications from Assistant Manager up to Manager level with the role and level of responsibility varying according to experience.

This is a client facing role with opportunity to establish strong relationships across our extensive portfolio of audit clients in the SME sector and comes with excellent prospects for career development.

Responsibilities will vary depending on the level but you can expect to:

  1. Either assist with or have responsibility for managing and reviewing audits
  2. Training and mentoring of junior staff
  3. Complete or work as part of a team to complete complex areas of audit files
  4. Complete or work as part of a team to deal with non-routine accounting transactions within audits
  5. Prepare audit files for RI review
  6. Show keen interest in whole firm
  7. Improve systems and efficiencies
About you -

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
  1. ACA or ACCA qualified
  2. Minimum of 2 years PQE at Manager level
  3. Previous Audit experience in practice
  4. Advanced level of technical knowledge in auditing and accounting standards
  5. Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective client relationships
  6. Collaborative team player
  7. Pro-active, shows initiative, exercise judgement and take ownership of tasks from start to finish
  8. Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
  9. Ambitious
