Hays are currently working with a regulator of accounting standards within the Birmingham area to recruit an Audit Governance Project Director. They are offering hybrid working and an opportunity to join a well-established organisation to develop your career.

Your new role

You will be responsible for developing and delivering projects relating to the Audit Governance Code and contributing to the management of relationships within firms. You will also be identifying key findings from monitoring activities and presenting, both verbally and in writing, to large audit firms to achieve change. You will be engaging with senior leadership and non-executives and leading policy initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

1. Chartered Governance Professional Qualification or equivalent
2. Experience in regulation or supervision in audit, accountancy, law, corporates or another sector
3. Understanding of governance and how it can be implemented
4. Excellent written and verbal communication
