About Our Client

Our client is a market leading firm offering accounting, tax, consulting and business advisory. Ranked within the top 10 on UK revenue by the accountancy age magazine.

Job Description
  1. Ensure that clients receive an efficient and proactive service and client expectations are exceeded throughout the year. Liaison with client Partners and other staff where appropriate to ensure all are kept up to date with relevant issues.
  2. Act as audit lead on owner managed, private equity and AIM listed clients. The expectation is that on large assignments this role will be supported by one (or more) Managers, with overall responsibility for each assignment being retained by the Partner.
  3. Commercial awareness of all aspects of clients' businesses and the impacts on our work.
  4. Arrangement of timetable, booking of staff, planning review and completion of audit and other related assignments.
The Successful Applicant
  1. Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA).
  2. Must hold RI status.
  3. Significant external audit experience gained within a professional services environment.
  4. Experience of working with entrepreneurial, OMB, SME and AIM listed clients.
  5. Experience of (and appetite for) business development activities.
  6. Demonstrable working knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, industry specifics and their application.
  7. Good working knowledge of skill requirements of staff at various levels to ensure work undertaken by appropriate individual.
  8. Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, Partners, staff, and other professionals.
  9. Monitoring costs against budget for individual clients.
