Robert Walters - Specialist Audit Consultant - Permanent - Hybrid - Birmingham - £45,000 to £55,000 per annum

Our client, a leading business in their sector, is seeking a Specialist Audit Consultant with a keen interest in the construction industry to join their growing team. This unique role combines financial auditing with construction contract review, offering an exciting opportunity to work alongside Asset-Based Lenders and deliver critical insights on financial and contractual risks.

Location: Birmingham
Position: Specialist Audit Consultant
Full-Time Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 per annum


Key Responsibilities of the Specialist Audit Consultant:

  1. Analyse financial statements, including debtors and creditors, and identify potential financial risks and opportunities in asset-backed lending.
  2. Evaluate construction contracts to identify clauses that may impact debt recoverability or funding, and provide solutions or feedback on problematic contract elements.
  3. Conduct comprehensive audits of construction and financial processes to mitigate risks, and work with internal teams to ensure lender interests are safeguarded.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, challenging and interpreting business data during on-site engagements to protect lender interests.
