Audit and Controls Executive

TN United Kingdom
Cardiff
GBP 80,000 - 100,000
Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a rapidly expanding team within the support area of Household Claims, which will be responsible for making sure that we have appropriate robust controls in place, testing them and acting as an audit function both internally and with our suppliers. If you have an inquisitive nature, desire to learn and want to develop your technical knowledge across household claims, then this could be the role for you.

You will play a vital role in ensuring that we are delivering the best experience for our customers by highlighting areas of improvement and testing the current controls that we have in place. This will involve working with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally.

The keys to this role are communication, collaboration and the ability to influence change. You'll need to be able to remove hurdles in processes if required, ensuring you get to the root cause of issues, take responsibility to resolve problems and collate all necessary details to ensure swift resolution whenever possible.

A proven track record within an insurance claims function is required for this role. We believe in investing in people’s ongoing professional and technical development and successful candidates will also have access to a wide range of ongoing professional development opportunities, including externally accredited courses such as those delivered by the Chartered Insurance Institute and British Damage Management Association.

Key Responsibilities

  • Knowledge and understanding of home or property insurance products and claim handling is necessary.
  • Experience in undertaking either case by case reviewing, or processes / controls testing would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability at times to simplify complex issues.
  • Clear communicator, appropriate for an intended audience, including senior management.
  • Ability to work flexibly and manage your time effectively.
  • Possess the ability to make effective and informed judgements and recommendations, which may impact top level data (such as CRMI).
  • Desire to support the team to deliver excellent customer outcomes and be driven to do the right thing for our customers.
  • Show passion and empathy in putting things right when they have gone wrong.
  • Be able to turn ideas into actions.
  • Self-motivator with desire to learn.

Additional Information

  • We will review your CV within working days of application and get back to you.
  • You will be required to come to the office - days per week (or more if you prefer).
  • We will give you everything you need to work comfortably from home.

Please note - we may close this vacancy early if we receive lots of applications or business priorities change.
