Job Description:

A prestigious Top 15 accountancy firm is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager to join its growing media-focused team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with some of the most exciting names in the media industry, including clients in media tech, advertising, theatre, TV, and film production.

About the Firm

This dynamic office specializes in the media sector, supporting entrepreneurial businesses from start-ups to large international groups. With a team of approximately 80 professionals across audit, accounting, business advisory, tax, and corporate finance, the firm takes a collaborative approach to delivering a comprehensive service to clients at every stage of their business lifecycle.

Due to rapid growth, the firm is looking for an experienced Manager to join the media team and take on a key role in managing client relationships, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to business development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing an audit portfolio of media clients (starting at approximately £700k in recurring fees).
  • Ensuring all client deadlines are met, work is completed within budget, and final files require minimal partner review.
  • Leading both substantive and controls-based audits.
  • Managing audits for large domestic groups and overseeing group reporting.
  • Extensive experience working with cross-border groups.
  • Providing advisory services, including investigations, due diligence, valuations, and employee share scheme advice.
Project & Team Management
  • Planning and organizing assignments to maximize efficiency while considering firm-wide productivity.
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 procedures.
  • Providing clear instructions and constructive feedback to staff.
  • Acting as a mentor and training manager for trainees, ensuring they gain the necessary experience to meet professional standards.
  • Motivating staff and addressing any personnel matters in collaboration with HR where necessary.
Practice Development & Training
  • Delivering sector-specific training sessions for junior staff.
  • Participating in meetings, workshops, and firm-wide training programs.
  • Engaging in business development efforts to strengthen existing client relationships and attract new opportunities.
  • Staying committed to CPD and ensuring up-to-date technical knowledge.
Administrative & Operational Support
  • Assisting with billing procedures and debt collection in coordination with client partners.
Requirements
Skills & Experience Required
  • ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to apply technical knowledge practically.
  • Experience managing both people and a portfolio.
  • A proactive approach to client care, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and adaptability.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and mentor junior team members effectively.
