Job Description
A reputable accountancy practice is looking to appoint an Audit & Accounts Assistant Manager. Your new company, a renowned and long-established firm of Chartered Accountants, is looking to appoint an Audit & Accounts Assistant Manager in North Manchester. This firm has a presence across the North West and works with a varied client base from start-up businesses and entrepreneurs up to large groups.

You will work alongside the Audit Manager and Audit Partner to complete Audit engagements for a variety of businesses in your portfolio. This will involve planning and leading audits through to completion, as well as supervising and mentoring the junior members of the team when on site and in the office.
Additionally, you will prepare accounts for non-audit clients and be the main point of contact for your clients across both Accounts and Audit. This role is ideally 50% Audit and 50% Accounts, which will change throughout the year depending on client deadlines. You will also have the opportunity to work with the wider business's Audit team, working on larger, more complex multinational audit engagements which will provide excellent exposure.
It's important that you are a driven individual who wants real ownership over their work while caring about the quality of work that is delivered to your client base. You must have experience of planning and leading audits within general practice, as well as working with the wider team to support and mentor trainees and juniors coming through. You must have excellent communication and rapport-building skills, as well as be a commercially minded individual.
