AUDIO VISUAL SERVICE / WORKSHOP ENGINEER

WORKSHOP / SITE BASED

SOUTH WEST LONDON

£35,000 TO £45,000 PER ANNUM

Are you ready to take your expertise in AV, IT, and home automation to the next level? We're looking for a Lead Service & Workshop Engineer to join a dynamic team where innovation, professional growth, and excellence are at the forefront.

This role offers a unique mix of hands-on technical challenges, leadership opportunities, and client-facing responsibilities. You'll play a pivotal role in maintaining and upgrading cutting-edge systems for prestigious projects across Central London and the Home Counties.

The Role:

As a Lead Service & Workshop Engineer, you will:

  1. Oversee completed projects, ensuring seamless operation through regular service visits and system health checks.
  2. Manage stock and logistics at the workshop, handling incoming and outgoing deliveries.
  3. Build, commission, and test state-of-the-art system racks and control panels for lighting, HVAC, and other advanced systems.
  4. Lead the transition of clients to remote support packages and head up a comprehensive service offering.
  5. Collaborate with project teams and assist on-site engineers as needed.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve issues creatively, ensuring outstanding results for every client.
What We're Looking For:

We're searching for a proactive professional with:

  1. Proven experience in the AV/Home Automation industry.
  2. Strong technical knowledge of systems such as Crestron Home, Control4, and Lutron QS(X).
  3. A solid understanding of network infrastructures and protocols.
  4. Familiarity with shading, BMS, CCTV, and intercom systems (desirable).
  5. Outstanding communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and a solution-driven mindset.
  7. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  8. A passion for delivering exceptional results and continuously improving processes.
  9. A full UK driving licence.

Key Details:

Location: Based at the workshop and with travel to project sites across Central London and the Home Counties.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break).
