Job Role:
The overall aim of the project is to deliver a programme of services to target and support young people in the east end of Glasgow who are under-achieving by raising and recognising achievement and creating opportunities.
Working across the Fuse programmes, you will ensure that each participant is matched to an award, has an individual development plan where appropriate, accreditation folders are kept up to date with all evidence captured, and support young people to overcome barriers to participation and learning.

We are seeking to appoint an Attainment Worker to help each participant be matched to an award and have a personal development plan and tracked learner journey.
Working across our range of programmes, the Attainment Worker will work with young people identifying the best fit for the specific awards and the individual activities. The successful candidate will work alongside staff to collate evidence and ensure that electronic portfolios are kept up to date with all evidence captured.
The Attainment Worker will assist staff, volunteers, and young people to help ensure targets are achieved and progression pathways created for young people, supporting them to overcome barriers to participation and learning.

We are looking for dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team. Y sort it Young Carers Service supports young carers/young adult carers aged between 8-18 years across West Dunbartonshire.
This exciting post offers a unique opportunity to work with Young Carers within school, home & community-based settings. The role of the Young Carer Support Worker will be to support young carers in making informed choices around issues that are important to them, through one-to-one, group work sessions & respite.
You will be offering and completing Young Carers Statements (Assessments), developing support plans, providing advice and information, training, and peer support to help young carers with their caring role.
Young carers are supported through a range of measures to alleviate the caring role and your role will be to work closely with schools, partner agencies, and family members to ensure they are able to be a young person first and foremost.
You will be active in providing support and encouragement, helping them to overcome challenges and/or barriers working towards goals to improve their learning, skills, and personal development. Offering guidance, rights-based information, creating learning opportunities. You will be developing support plans, providing advice and information, training, and peer support. Your role will be to work closely with schools, partner agencies, and family members.
The post holder should be flexible as the actual times of work will involve working evenings, school holidays, and weekends. The post holder should be flexible as the actual times of work may change to respond to the demands of the work of the Young Carers Service including overnight stays for respite.
You will be directly managed by Y sort it Young Carer Manager.

Requirements
You will have a relevant qualification or evidence of previous experience working within social work, healthcare or youth/community/voluntary work or in the field of Health Promotion, or relevant/equivalent experience, working with children, young people, and/or families.
Please note, a driving license is essential for this role.
The Pathways Project Worker will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive support to young people aged 11-25 and their families within the local community. As part of the Connect Pathways initiative, you will address the challenges posed by the rising cost of living through one-on-one mentoring, group sessions, and workshops focusing on financial literacy, mental health, and access to essential services.

COVEY (Community Volunteers Enabling You) is a lifeline for children, young people, and families across Lanarkshire. Since 1992, we have provided 1-1 and group-based befriending, mentoring, and family support services tailored to those who need it the most.
Our Board of Trustees bring wide-ranging skills, knowledge, expertise, and passion to the organisation. Working closely with the Chief Executive and Leadership Team of the charity, the Board is responsible for the legal and operational oversight of the charity, ensuring that it is financially sustainable, has strong governance, and safeguards against risk to protect its reputation and that it delivers against its strategy and charitable objectives.

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual. You will have the opportunity to use and develop your skills and experience to support children and families across Lanarkshire and beyond.
The role will involve attending six board meetings per year including preparation time. In addition, you may be invited to be involved in the Finance, Risk, and Audit (FRA) subcommittee, depending on your skills and interests.
The position is voluntary, however reasonable travel expenses are reimbursed.
Location: Meetings of the Board are normally held midweek in East Kilbride between 6.00 – 8.30pm.
