Contract: Professional & Technology Services

Location: London

Hours of work: 40

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract

The Assurance Coordinator will be a key member of the client's Assurance Team, responsible for ensuring compliance with certified standards, legal requirements, and contractual obligations.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in audit, compliance, assurance, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and Risk Management, providing exposure to technical learning and real-world application.

This 6-month FTC has been created in response to an increasing workload and reporting requirements, making it a great stepping stone for those looking to transition into a permanent role in assurance or compliance in the future.

Job Description

As Assurance Coordinator, you will work closely with the Quality and Assurance Manager, supporting them in ensuring that ISS and the client estate remain fully compliant.

Additionally, you will assist various account departments as needed, providing valuable insight into the broader compliance framework.

While regular travel is not expected, there will be some ad-hoc travel required to support audits and meetings, with occasional overnight stays.

If you are detail-oriented, eager to learn, and looking to develop your career in assurance and compliance, this role offers fantastic exposure within a highly professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, track, and analyse audits to identify inefficiencies and duplication.
  • Manage audit reports, findings, and corrective actions through to closure.
  • Ensure root cause analysis is conducted and escalate findings when necessary.
  • Provide audit reports, track trends, and monitor objectives.
  • Maintain controls for documented information, ensuring platforms are up to date and fit for purpose.
  • Assist leadership with document formatting, flowcharts, and change requests.
  • Manage and update registers for controlled documents and provide reports on document management.
  • Take minutes, attend meetings, and maintain organisational charts.
  • Track compliance, training records, and business continuity plans.
  • Support the Assurance Team and wider organisation with administrative and compliance tasks.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
  • Experience in an office environment, ideally within FM, with a focus on admin.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook with the ability to learn new systems.
  • Strong client focus with experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Motivated self-starter with a high work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in a business environment.
  • Good general education with a results-driven mindset.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and open to innovation and change.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK, including occasional overnight stays.
