Job description

Consultant - UK Civil/Structural Engineering

A leading, globally recognised consultancy is looking for an Associate Structural Engineer for their team in Leeds. This would be an opportunity for someone who is interested in developing their business development & work winning skills. This role is a succession plan to eventually replace the Associate Director. The time scale could be 12 months to 3 years depending on how quickly you develop into the role!

The common types of projects the Leeds office works on include local residential & commercial projects valuing up to £600M. They occasionally work on mega projects in other parts of the world. You may also be required to work on Nuclear projects.

As the Associate Structural Engineer, you would be responsible for managing the team working on these projects, be involved in winning similar types of projects, and getting involved with design to support staff. You'll be client-facing and will be working closely with the Associate Director.

  • Flex & hybrid working with up to 2-3 days working from home and the option to work 40 hours across 4 days!
  • Paid overtime if you are working beyond contracted hours, however, they usually manage projects effectively so overtime is commonly not required.

What's Required?

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering
  • 10+ years of Civil Structural Engineering Experience
