Associate Structural Engineer

Location: Bristol (3 days/week in-office)

Salary: £60,000-£65,000

Alexander Associates are working with a highly regarded, independent engineering design and advisory consultancy to recruit an experienced Associate Structural Engineer for their growing Bristol office.

The successful candidate will:

  1. Lead design teams across a diverse portfolio of building structures projects
  2. Deliver innovative solutions in sectors such as residential, commercial, healthcare, educational, and data centres
  3. Act as a key point of contact for clients, architects, and contractors
  4. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers
  5. Contribute to project planning, delivery strategy, and design reviews

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 6 years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record of working on diverse projects, including commercial and residential developments
  2. Experience at Senior or Associate level within the structural engineering sector
  3. Strong technical background with knowledge of Eurocodes and UK building regulations
  4. Proficiency in structural analysis and design software including Revit, Tekla, or similar
  5. Working towards or holding chartership with IStructE or ICE, demonstrating commitment to professional excellence
  6. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach to leadership
