Job description

We’re looking for an Associate Engineer to join us in Bradford (BD4) on a permanent basis – Hybrid working, 2days office based and 3 remote.

We are seeking an Associate Engineer to join our expanding Technology and Product Development team. In this role, you will work on various tech products, contributing to the development and enhancement of our offerings as part of a scrum team. You will also gain exposure to a wide range of projects, including new initiatives, internal solutions, and at market products.

What will you be doing?

• Ability to receive business requirements and collaborate with the team to develop solutions.
• Participate in a Scrum team to enhance and improve products and services managed by the wider team.
• Work across Liberty Blume to support the design, build, and maintenance of in-house products and services developed by the team.
• Collaborate with the broader Technology and Product team to ensure the delivery and maintenance of the exceptional service standards expected from our products and services.

We tend to look for people with:

Essential:

• Demonstrable experience in Python.
• Familiarity with version control solutions such as GitHub, including an understanding of branching, merging, and pull requests.

Desirable:

• Demonstrable experience in Data engineering in the cloud, preferably GCP.
• Comfortable working with solutions and products written in Python / .net / React / SQL.
• Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence.
