Job Details:

JOB SUMMARY

Under supervision codes, debugs and performs development activities in accordance with designated standards and procedures.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May be required to perform additional duties):

1. Using current programming language and technologies to provide creative and practical solutions to a range of technical problems.
2. Develop and test applications and programs to support the company’s products.
3. Apply the application of software best practices such as Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development, SOLID and Clean Code principles.
4. Provide support of products through conception to product delivery including problem solving, defect maintenance, and support to customer services.
5. Keeps abreast of improvements and developments within software engineering.
6. Other duties as requested.

KEY REQUIREMENTS (Skills, knowledge, qualifications and experience)

Qualifications:

• Holds or is studying for a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering, computer science or related field or equivalent professional experience or combination of both.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

• Experience of specification, design and development of software desirable.
• Current knowledge of programming language and technologies.
• Demonstrate the ability to problem solve and resolve issues.
• Unit testing.
• Test-driven development.

Personal Qualities

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to problem solve and find effective resolutions.
• Ability to work as part of a team towards individual and shared goals.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiatives.
