Job Description

Are you a motivated histotechnologist searching for a position in a highly collaborative, dynamic environment in a company with a great culture? This might be an opportunity for you! We are seeking an individual who will perform histology for immunology drug discovery programs. The successful candidate will work in a group providing research support in target validation, target distribution, animal model development, pharmacology, and exploratory safety studies. Being detail-oriented is critical to this role. Specific activities will include routine histology (e.g., tissue trimming, tissue processing, embedding, and sectioning of paraffin embedded and frozen tissues), routine and special histochemical staining and immunohistochemistry (IHC). Additional tasks include using computer-based laboratory tracking systems (Sample Manager, Dream Path) and a willingness to get creative when working with novel tissues or challenging pathology endpoints. The candidate must independently schedule and prioritize workload to manage several tasks. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent education, with typically 3 or more years’ experience or Master’s Degree or equivalent education (no additional experience) in Biology/Chemistry or related field.
  2. HT (ASCP) certification is required.
  3. Microsoft Office skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Histotechnologist Certification (HTL) required.
  2. Skilled at tissue grossing, embedding, FFPE and OCT sectioning required.
  3. Experience with sectioning tissues for advanced molecular techniques including spatial transcriptomics platforms would be helpful.
  4. Ideally 3-5 years of experience within a histology/pathology laboratory.
