  • Job Title: Associate Project Manager
  • Job Summary: Successful candidate would support and coordinate certain areas within a videogame localisation and its related tasks. They would be taking care of setting up / checking / solving issues related to localisation tools and coordinate systematic modifications required by localisation within a videogame. This position starts as a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract, with a potential to be made permanent.

What you’ll do

  • Coordinate elements of videogames localisation and other related text from Japanese into French/German/Italian/Spanish, including communication and coordination for setting up/checks/requests/problem-solving related to software required for localisation projects.
  • Coordinate the needs and carry out implementation checks on systematic modifications required for a language-specific grammar matter as well as to coordinate debug functions required by the localisation and tech teams.
  • Coordinate and support managing video game localisation projects that are handled by the team.
  • Liaise with developers, stakeholders, internal localisation team, and IT team for matters related to video game localisation.
  • Assist internal teams as necessary, including Localisation and Marketing teams.
  • Aid the Localisation Support Tech team’s work when required with video game hardware and software asset management.
  • Aid video game data distribution-related tasks.

What you’ll bring

  • Three (3) to four (4) years of relevant professional experience or a demonstrated equivalent level of expertise.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or a demonstrated equivalent level of applicable experience.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills in both English and Japanese.
  • Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, with tight deadlines and shifting schedules.
  • Advanced computer skills: the ability to work with task automation scripts/macros, and troubleshoot PC software/hardware/networking issues.
  • Experience in project coordination is a plus.
  • Experience in working with a team of translators of multiple languages is a plus.
  • Knowledge of French/German/Italian/Spanish is an advantage but not essential.
  • Knowledge/interest/experience in video games and/or the videogame industry is a plus.
  • Ability to learn how to use specialized technical programs quickly. Pokémon brand knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between £40,000.00 - £47,500.00 per year. The full range is £40,000.00 - £60,000.00 per year. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience.
