NHS Orkney is seeking an exceptional medical leader to take on the pivotal role of Associate Medical Director (AMD) – Primary and Secondary Care. This is an exciting and unique position, designed to strengthen the integration between primary and secondary care in Orkney, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred services.

This full-time (10 PA) role is split between Primary Care and Secondary Care, offering a rare opportunity for a senior clinician to influence strategy, develop services, and improve patient care across the whole health system. Up to 2 PA (1 day per week) are available for SPA and direct clinical activity to support your continuing clinical role.

The role is open to GPs, Doctors and Consultants, making it an attractive career move for experienced clinicians with a track record of leadership and service improvement.
