The Role

As an Assistant Manager/Manager in the Outsourced Finance team, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial excellence for our clients in an award-winning team. From managing the preparation and review of management accounts to providing expert guidance on VAT returns, you will ensure accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial insights.

With a focus on client satisfaction, you will build and maintain strong relationships, addressing issues and offering innovative solutions. From overseeing key monthly/quarterly deliverables to providing business insights, you will be at the forefront of delivering impactful financial services and adding value to the clients we service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure key client deliverables are managed and serviced in line with expectations.
  • Manage the preparation, review, and analysis of management accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee VAT returns review and provide expert advice on VAT-related matters.
  • Lead and manage a team, some of whom work remotely, allocating tasks, and providing guidance and support including offshore partners.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships, addressing issues, and providing strategic solutions and support.
  • Coordinate onboarding of new clients, ensuring new processes and ways of working are adhered to.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ICAEW, ACCA or equivalent) with at least 3 years post-qualification experience preferred or have at least 3 years’ experience working in a similar role.
  • Previous experience of working in a similar position in an accountancy practice preferred.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships to deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • Previous experience working with offshore partners desirable but not essential.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of cloud accounting solutions and the wider app eco-system.

  • Our standard working week is a 37.5-hour week on a hybrid basis (with up to 50% of your time across the month home-based and the other 50% office-based).
  • Core working hours are 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday.
