Associate Landscape Architect

Hybrid – London HQ

Competitive Salary + Benefits + Profit Share

Are you a talented Landscape Architect looking for your next leadership opportunity? Our client, an Award-winning Landscape Architecture practice with offices in London and the North of England are looking for an Associate to shape high-profile projects, mentor teams, and drive design excellence at their forward-thinking practice.

With a minimum of 8 years experience, including at least 2 years as a Chartered Landscape Architect, you’ll bridge the gap between the Board and junior staff—overseeing project execution, managing teams, contributing to business development, and driving design & project delivery.

This role will:

  • Lead and manage a team, overseeing conceptual design, technical development, and project delivery.
  • Ensure projects meet high-quality design standards, remain on budget, and align with client expectations.
  • Manage resource planning, project invoicing, and financial performance.
  • Play a key role in business development, writing proposals and securing new work.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders, representing the practice externally.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, guiding them through their professional development.

This role needs:

  • 8+ years' experience in landscape architecture, including at least 2 years as a Chartered Landscape Architect.
  • Strong commercial knowledge - both in generating new business opportunities and in maintaining project profitability.
  • A proven track record in project management, resource planning, and delivering high-quality design.
  • Leadership experience - great team management skills.
  • Client and stakeholder management experience including proposal presentation, negotiation and reporting.
  • Expertise in developing and presenting plans using design software (Revit, CAD, or similar).
  • Bonus: Experience managing international projects or working on overseas developments.
  • Bonus: Expertise in planting design and horticultural knowledge.

This role offers:

  • Competitive salary, progression opportunities, plus eligibility for bonuses.
  • Profit-share scheme—eligibility for discretionary tax-free bonuses after one year.
  • Generous holiday allowance that increases with tenure.
  • Hybrid working with a collaborative London studio environment.
  • Training & development, including Landscape Institute memberships & mentorship.
  • Regular social events—monthly team socials, summer & Christmas parties.

If you're looking to take the next step in your career, lead exciting projects, and be part of a dynamic team shaping exceptional landscapes, we’d love to hear from you.
