We are looking for an HR professional who is CIPD qualified with a strong HR background and hands-on experience. Ideally, you will have experience of HR consulting; otherwise, you will need recent experience of managing multiple client groups, providing transactional and operational HR support on a day-to-day basis.
You will work proactively with CEOs, MDs, Trustees, and Business owners to build and develop strong working relationships and to understand their HR needs. Exploring solutions and identifying the level and type of support required to meet their business needs, whilst identifying added value and cross-selling opportunities across the portfolio.
This is a key role in growing our client base across the East of England. While we're flexible on location, you'll need to travel to Norwich regularly.
The role will have flexible hours according to the needs of the business (minimum of 10 hours per week).
Key Responsibilities in this Associate HR Consultant role:
- Providing HR support to all clients from varied industries, face-to-face or virtually.
- Supporting clients with all employment law issues.
- Dealing with a whole range of HR issues, from contracts to performance management, disciplinaries, appeals, grievances, redundancy, maternity, and settlement agreements.
- Succession planning and personal development plans.
- Supporting Values and Culture work.
- Training delivery and preparation where required.
- Reviewing clients’ HR and employment documentation.
- Tracking work of projects on software provided.
- Preparing and maintaining reports related to specific HR Projects.
- Building sustainable relationships with clients for delivery of first-class service.
- Attending regular team meetings as and when required, face-to-face or virtually.
- Casework administration preparing investigation and hearing notes for clients.
- Recruitment support including searches on LinkedIn, CV library, and Indeed.
- Networking events to build brand reputation.
Education, Experience and Skills needed for this HR Consultant role:
- CIPD or equivalent or significant experience within HR.
- Complete understanding of HR processes and procedures that allows them to work autonomously if required.
- Up-to-date, working knowledge of current UK employment law.
- Exposure to working in an HR capacity in the UK (minimum 2 years).
- Previous experience in consultancy work.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft products.
- Knowledge of applicant tracking systems.
- Knowledge of HR Systems.
