You will report into the General Counsel and will work with the other members of the General Counsel & Risk Team, based across all of our UK offices. You will be providing legal and regulatory advice across the following varied and interesting areas:

  • Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing
  • Client engagement terms and queries, bids, tenders, and associated client requests
  • Professional indemnity insurance, general insurance, cyber insurance, and insurance-related queries
  • GDPR/Data Protection, including complaints arising from the same, and liaising with the ICO
  • Addressing and providing advice on regulatory, legal, and ethical queries received into the risk and compliance inbox
  • Firmwide risk and compliance projects (e.g., changes to legislation, process review and improvement, new technologies, opportunities, etc.)

To succeed in this role, you'll need to have:

  • Worked, or be working, in a law firm, as a trainee solicitor who has reached qualification
  • A commitment to fostering best practice and understanding the world of risk and compliance
  • Experience and qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and independent judgement
  • Self-directed with the ability to manage own work levels
