You'll be responsible for:

  • Acting as a leader for the BU. Bringing new ideas, challenging and driving forward the service offer, including developing annual business unit plans.
  • Accountability for service excellence and construct engine satisfaction, delivering purpose-led and measurable outcomes on projects.
  • Bid support. Complete in a timely manner, ensuring the appropriate sustainability message is delivered in an appropriate way to exceed the clients' expectations but ensuring it is deliverable.
  • Ensuring projects contribute to the 2030 Mace business plan KPIs and targets.
  • Awareness of client and market needs to evolve and maintain necessary competencies.
  • Data quality (i.e. QA the data sets) and identify insights that you can act upon. Drive improvements and better outcomes (not just reporting).
  • Completing competitor analysis in the sector to continually improve.
  • Innovation - measure and track, deliver meaningful and measurable outcomes.
  • Ensuring all targets (legal, client, and Mace) are being delivered.
  • Doing the basics right - legal compliance, legislation, Mace Way, Engage.
  • Regular engagement with your client and consultants (share knowledge, check in, provide informative insights, project updates and case studies).
  • Developing others and delegate tasks to the wider team, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Resource projects effectively with forward planning.
  • Ensuring suitable time allocation is secured for each project, in line with the agreed sustainability deliverables.
  • Line management responsibilities and task management for those individuals who are managed by others.

  • Understand client drivers and what good looks like in the sector, collaborating with other responsible business sector leads and service offer leads to bring offers to new and existing clients.
  • Enhance and bring new service offers to market to stay competitive.
  • Drive innovation, sharing insights and solutions from across the industry, and implement innovative solutions to pursue a better way, resulting in meaningful and measurable impacts.
  • Manage quality control of relevant data sets, identifying insights and solutions that improve project performance.

Be a Collaborator:

  • Work collaboratively to manage the market and/or sector interfaces effectively and in the best interests of Mace.
  • Work closely with your business unit SLT and other leadership forums to provide subject matter leadership and strategic planning.
  • Strong leadership, integrity and motivational skills are essential.
  • Share knowledge and insights from the sector, including project case studies and thought leadership.
  • Form and maintain strong, senior working relationships at the highest levels in client organisations as well as across Mace.
  • Contribute and support the wider industry regarding sustainability insights and knowledge.

  • Support and develop an integrated service offer into the business unit and Mace construct.
  • Lead and manage a high performing team and champion career development.

Be a Champion:

  • Strong and engaging communicator, articulate and open, and comfortable when representing the company.
  • Champion the business unit's contribution to the delivery of the Mace 2026 business strategy priorities.
  • Quality control, know your project's sustainability numbers, and champion them across the team's and business unit.
