Our global AMATS practice comprises Insurance, Human Capital, Cyber & Digital, Intellectual Property and ESG experts with a dedicated focus on transactional activity. The R&I PVC team focuses on partnering with financial sponsor clients and their portfolio companies to help drive value creation from a risk & insurance perspective throughout the holding period. The candidate must have a wealth of experience in the insurance industry either as an underwriter or broker. Key to the role will be the coordination of Aon resources, technical advice and solutions across various geographies and practices within Aon. Regular collaboration with financial sponsor clients and their portfolio companies as well as internal collaborators is a key facet of the role.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our London office.

What the day will look like

The primary responsibility will be to implement and co-ordinate portfolio wide risk & insurance placements for financial sponsor owned portfolio companies, globally. The role will consist of identifying new business opportunities, partnering with financial sponsors to decide strategy to deploy, manage client relationships and co-ordinate internal Aon service teams. Duties will include:

  • Implement and co-ordinate risk and insurance value creation programmes for financial sponsors and their portfolio companies.
  • Liaising with clients and their portfolio companies.
  • Coordinating internal Aon expertise/resources/solutions across various practices and geographies and building an internal network.
  • Determining opportunities for cross-selling other Aon products, services, and solutions.
  • Building and fostering client relationships.
  • Enhance the consistency and quality of our client deliverables by coaching, leading and being responsible for less experienced colleagues.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • ACII (full or part qualified)
  • Proven general insurance experience, such as property & casualty insurance experience (broking or underwriting) across core or specialty insurance sectors
  • Specific M&A transaction and/or project management experience
  • Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills across organisational levels
  • Ability to work independently, handle contending tasks through effective prioritisation and delegation
  • Track record of delivering the highest quality client deliverables (written and verbal)
  • Report writing skills, specifically articulating complexity in a clear and concise manner
  • Internal and external networking experience and abilities
