Job description

A leading strategic communications consultancy is seeking an ambitious Associate Director / Director (Health) to join its award-winning health practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced consultant or in-house professional to take their career to the next level, working with major healthcare clients, including global organisations, charities, and blue-chip brands. You will play a key role in shaping and leading innovative campaigns across a range of healthcare and life sciences issues, providing strategic counsel and driving new business opportunities.

Main Responsibilities: Associate Director/Director role

  • Lead and deliver high-impact health-focused campaigns.
  • Provide expert consultancy on health policy, public affairs, and market access strategies.
  • Engage with government, media, and key stakeholders to navigate complex policy and regulatory environments.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering strategic insights and innovative solutions.
  • Support business development efforts, securing new opportunities and expanding client accounts.
  • Manage and inspire teams, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, networking, and sharing expertise.

Main Requirements

    • Extensive experience in healthcare policy, public affairs, and/or strategic communications.
    • Proven track record of delivering successful health-related campaigns.
    • Strong knowledge of life sciences policy and market access.
    • Strong understanding of UK health policy, regulatory frameworks, and market access.
    • Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to provide high-level counsel to clients.
    • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Established network within healthcare and life sciences.
    • For Director candidates: Proven commercial ability to grow client relationships and win new business.
