Associate Director, Programme Advisory - Scotland or North of EnglandLocations: Scotland, Leeds, Stockton, Barrow or other locations in the North of England

Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 + £5,000 car allowance + benefits

About the Role:

iO Associates are seeking an Associate Director (or an experienced Managing Consultant looking for the next step up) to join our client's growing Complex Infrastructure Programme Advisory team.

This is a unique opportunity to lead and expand a niche team within a national consultancy, focusing on complex infrastructure projects.

You will play a pivotal role in developing their pipeline and growing the team from 38 to 60 members by the end of the year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of consultants across the North of England and Scotland
  • Develop and expand client accounts, delivering high-quality programme advisory services.
  • Provide strategic Programme Advisory such as: PMO setup, technical assurance, target operating model expertise.
  • Collaborate with clients in sectors such as Energy, Defence, and Local Transport.
  • Mentor and support team members, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive programme advisory services.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in consultancy
  • Extensive experience in Complex Infrastructure/Critical National Infrastructure
  • Experience in business change, PMO setup/management, stakeholder management, programme management, strategic advisory, and process mapping.
  • Ability to manage and grow client accounts from scratch.
  • Strong leadership and operational skills - able to split time between Delivery as well as Growth and Management

Preferred Background:

  • Experience in one or more of the following industries: Nuclear, Defence, Energy, Transport, Air
  • Secondment/Direct experience with key clients in the North of England/Scotland is highly desirable.
  • A "seller/do-er" mindset, capable of both delivering and growing client engagements.
